William Gillon will join Peter Nelson of BioDimensions, Inc., in facilitating the 2nd Annual New Crops Roundtable at the 6th Annual World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioprocessing in Montreal, Canada. The Roundtable will be a discussion among companies and entrepreneurs who are actively developing new agricultural crops specifically for new bio-based uses. Among other issues, Gillon plans to highlight institutional hurdles and opportunities for new, alternative crops, including nuisance issues, crop insurance, product registrations, and business structures.
The World Congress will meet in Montreal, July 19-22, 2009, at the Palais des congres de Montreal. The purpose of the World Congress is to bring together individuals with diverse experience to speed the development and growth of the biotechnology sector. The 2008 meeting had over 1,100 attendees.
