During their stay in Memphis, the occupants of The Big Green Bus, or "Busers", visited Agricenter International, Shelby Farms Park, the National Civil Rights Museum, and Memphis Motorsports Park. They discussed their sustainability message with local government officials, gave tours of the bus in downtown Memphis, heard presentations on Mid-South agriculture and its contribution to biofuels and alternative crops, toured a biodiesel plant and raced the Bus at a dragstrip. Importantly, they ate at two Memphis establishments -- Huey's and Charlie Vergos Rendezvous -- that represent the soul of the city.
The Bus pulled out of Memphis the morning of July 3 on its way to New Orleans.
