Gillon Named as President/CEO &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font color="#797A42" face="'Helvetica Neue'" size="5"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;of the Cotton Board&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;b&gt;Monday, October 18, 2010. &lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt; William A. Gillon became the President/CEO of the Cotton Board effective October 18, 2010.  The Cotton Board, located in Memphis, Tennessee, was established by the Cotton Research and Promotion Act of 1966 as a quasi-governmental organization with the mission of overseeing the funding and operation of the Cotton Research and Promotion Program.  Cotton's Research and Promotion Program is normally associated with the "seal of cotton" and advertising and promotion programs designed to enhance demand for cotton and cotton products.
